In a city of 8 million people, little has been done by the government to ensure equality for the differently abled. Taking into account the needs of this sect of people, APD has spent 54 years successfully enabling the differently abled. They have transformed the lives of over 28,000 people through comprehensive rehabilitation and therapeutic services. Working grassroots to ensure basic services such as accessibility to public spaces and other policy level changes, APD has been struggling to ensure that the differently abled in the city are given their due rights as any other citizens in the city.
