When a group of active citizens noticed violations of lake and lake buffer zone in Pattandur Agrahara Lake, they came together and launched a visible public protest, and thereafter, have run a sustained campaign using citizen engagement, social media, press outreach and public pressure on officials, managing to get even National media coverage for the cause, bringing an illegal road work on the lake bed and lake buffer zone to a stop! The group are now working towards securing the lake boundaries, and reviving the lake for public use.
