Most of us cannot even begin to imagine the trauma of terminal cancer, let alone wonder how to help such patients and their families. Meet Bengaluru’s Kishore Rao, founder of the Karunashraya Trust who began with 12 such patients, and has over the years brought medical care to over 12,800 such patients, ensuring their last few weeks and months are spent in dignity and with minimal pain. He has plans of increasing their capacity with more wards and personnel for their hospice.
