Indian Forest Service has the privilege of having a sincere officer for over 25 years in Dr. U V Singh, who anchored the Supreme Court victory in the Mestripalya Lake in Koramangala. He exposed the politician – builder nexus in the dumping of industrial waste at Nagawara Lake; was part of the team investigating illegal granite quarrying in Karnataka. He is also appointed by the Supreme Court to look into illegal mining in Goa, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
